A Message From Your Favorite Tie Dye Artist

Hi! I’m Katie, the creator behind Aquaflection. It's an honor for me to bring my visions to life through the roll of a small business owner and designer. Aquaflection Tie Dye is a collection of my wonderful expressions of art. I create handcrafted, exceptional quality, Dye Art clothing and accessories. All of my dyed goods are hand designed, tied, and dyed making each a one-of-a-kind work of art. I also offer prints of my artwork on various clothing items and home decor.

My process for hand dyed items includes a pre-treatment for all fabrics in a home made solution. This step helps the dye bond to the fabric for long lasting vibrant color. I use Fiber Reactive Procion Dye mixed with ice. This technique is often referred to as Ice Dyeing. Once items are dyed, I wash them in a Dye Fixative which is an anti-bleeding, anti-fading detergent. This is designed to prevent dyed items from fading or bleeding in the wash. As a Dye artist, I recommend that you please wash items on cold and hang dry for long lasting results and to avoid shrinking!
